Vegetables and Fruit with Faces!
One of your five-day!
Having just eaten our body-weight in blueberries and strawberries, on top of home-made pancakes (in a bid to keep traditions alive and as part of our essential five-a-day!); it seems fitting to mention The Organic Toy Companys’ wonderful ‘In the Organic Garden’ section, because it ties in so well with The Little Veg Patch by Ollie&Agnes.
These toys, made from natural and organic products, are as scrumptious as The Little Veg Patch collection with a carrot, pear and of course the loveable strawberry. Just like our hats, they are brightly coloured and fun, unlike the Ollie&Agnes hats, they have faces! For some, fruit with faces may be freaky but this lot have pulled it off quite well and rather than creepy it is cute, especially the Nanchen Organic green bean and carrot rattle (who wears a rather jaunty green hat), both filled with organic wool (£14.50). However our personal favourite is the ‘chunky’ Under The Nile strawberry toy (£6.99) which reminds us of The Little Veg Patch strawberry hat (Knitting Sall's favourite kids hat).
As well as the fruit and veg there is also an organic cotton butterfly, which sleeps in a removable chrysalis drawstring bag. Once emerged, it has a green body and little blue arms. But don’t mention BLUE....after eating so many blueberries, we fear we could have the look of Violet Beauregard, from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, who eats the dessert gum and turns into a giant blueberry...
